"Sakushi-raigo-zu"*

*Sakushi = visual illusion, raigo-zu = the image that buddha(s) or god(s) come to pick up one who is going to die (Indian-like images are preferred in Japan because it used to be imagined that the heaven or paradise was located in the far west seen from Japan, i.e. India)

"Carpet of blue and green hearts"

There appear to be blue and green hearts, though they are identical in color.

"Miyabina kame"*

*Miyabina = dynastic-feeling, kame = turtles

There appear to be red turtles, green ones and gray ones, but actually they are of two colors.

"Dogs"

There appear to be orange dogs, magenta ones, yellowish-green one and cyan ones, but actually they are of two colors (red and green). This effect depends on the chromatic version of the dungeon illusion.  Another version  Another version 2

What is the dungeon illusion (Bressan, 2001)?

The left diamond in the dungeon appears to be lighter than the right one, though they are actually identical in luminance.

Black clouds appear to move.

"Kamaboko face"*

*Kamaboko = kind of food made from fish

Although all kamabokos are of the same size, the three inner ones appear to be larger than the uppermost two or the lowermost one (kind of the Jastrow illusion).

"Fluttering hearts"

Hearts appear to flutter. For those those who wear glasses, try to move them; then the hearts appear to move. For the majority, the hearts appear to be in front of the surface of white random dots when they are bright, while they appear to be behind it when they are dark.
