"Dotted line illusion (Ito): a rotation version"

When observers approach the image fixating at the central cross, the inner ring appears to rotate clockwise while the outer one counterclockwise. When observers move away from the image, the reversal is observed. This is a rotational representation of the dotted line illusion proposed by Ito, Anstis and Cavanagh in 2009.
