Illusory black spots appear to scintillate in the circles at the crosses of the grating.

The top of a manhole appears to scintillate.

The gray lines are actually parallel but do not appear so.

The lower arc appears to be larger than the upper one though they are of the same size.


"The Poggendorff illusion at the Takaoguchi stop"

The straight bars (see below) appear to be nonaligned.
