"Off-the-mark illusion: the Watanabe original"

The lady appears to aim her arrow at the space above the star, but she is actually shooting the star. This is the original version given by Professor Eiji Watanabe. The illusion magnitude of this image is so strong that the Poggendorff illusion is not necessary any longer for the demonstration of a misalignment illusion?

"An impossible object encountered with the "Checker-shadow" illusion"

This figure is a variation of the famous Adelson's "Checker-shadow" illusion, designed as an impossible object. The central square of the same luminance as the second square (the forth square) in the top (bottom) row / leftmost (rightmost) column of the checkerboard. The figure is impossible because the top and bottom row appear to be in the frontoparallel plane simultaneously.
